Work & Project Experience - Revit Essentials Extension Course

Background:

The level of unemployment in the UK is alarmingly high with the Design and Construction industries hardest hit. Mass redundancies and a distinctive lack of jobs for graduates due to funding cuts have been the predominant causes.

Our 3 weeks extension courses are designed to help experienced professionals and graduates get into work. We have an excellent model in place, where candidates have the opportunity to develop their design and technical skills by working on projects and gain valuable experience within a well-established London based architectural practice and design studio.

We have a team of senior advisors and consultants who look to help place our graduates.  As well as professional training, our candidates would then also receive comprehensive support, from CV writing to portfolio structuring, tailored to securing a position on their chosen career path.

Solution:

This course is for those who have completed the Revit Architecture Essentials training course. Students are required to attend Revit Architecture Advanced training before beginning on the work & project experience element of the course.

After identifying that there was a vast gap between what was being taught in higher education and what is required in the professional environment, we restructured our courses to include practical experience in a professional office and added career advice and portfolio structuring. This addresses the problems facing both graduates and those who have been made redundant by developing their skills in a way that is both practical and tailored to the job market.

Grounds for Success:

We provide a unique service that offers professional training combined with design experience in a professional environment, working on projects that are simulations of real-life and depending on aptitude for the software, the opportunity to also work on live projects.

Candidates gain a real understanding of what it takes professionally to work in the Design and Construction Industry.

As we partner with an architectural practice and design studio we have a wealth of knowledge and experience which is used to help our candidates  secure employment as were are quickly able to identify knowledge gaps and offer career advice to our candidates . We have an acute understanding of what employers look for in a candidate and we use this to focus our student’s work and approach to increase their chances of employment.
