The course is for more advanced users of Photoshop, advised for people who did the Introduction Photoshop Essentials Course.

Some experience with Photoshop is needed. You are going to explore more advanced features of Photoshop and use them in action.

Objectives:

The primary objective of this Photoshop CS4 Advanced training course is to build on the basic core skills learnt, exploring Photoshop’s more advanced features and the workflow required to maximise its capacity.

Prerequisite:

Some experience with Photoshop needed, along with a basic understanding of computer operations.

    • Advanced Compositing

  • • Assembling a montage of images
  • • Hand-colouring selections on a layer
  • • Applying smart filters
  • • Stitching a panorama

    • Advanced Selections Techniques

  • • Creating advanced selections
  • • Cropping an image and erasing within a selection
  • • Refining the edge of a selection
  • • Extracting an image and blending it into a composition

    Preparing Files for the Web

  • • Creating slices
  • • Adding animation
  • • Animating a layer style
  • • Exporting HTML and images
  • • Using the zoomify feature
  • • Creating a web gallery

    • Working with 3D Images

  • • Creating a 3D shape from a layer
  • • Manipulating 3D objects
  • • Using the 3D panel to adjust the lighting and surface structure
  • • Merging two-dimensional layers onto 3D layers
  • • Merging 3D layers to share the same 3D space
  • • Painting on a 3D object
